How small should
a habit goal be?

A good habit goal gives you a yes or no within a second when you ask "did I do it today?" If you have to think, it’s too big.

Three tests

  1. Can you judge it instantly? — With "work out" you wonder whether a 10-minute walk counts. "10 squats" leaves no doubt.
  2. Can you start within 5 minutes? — Long setup means busy days get skipped.
  3. Can you do it on your worst day? — Late at work, feeling unwell: goals that still work then are the ones that last.

Start small, then grow

Filled a board without trouble? Make the next one slightly bigger. A board that hasn’t filled in two weeks is a sign to shrink the goal. To grow a goal, edit its name rather than making a new one, and your history stays with it.

Name it as an action

Goal names in My Praise Stamp Board can be up to 20 characters. An action with a number, like "10 squats", removes the debate over stamping.

Order your goals

Create as many goals as you like and drag to reorder. Put the one you most want to keep at the top. Goal names in the screenshot are Korean samples.

FAQ

Should I delete goals I’ve stopped?

Deleting removes their stamps and history. Archive instead: it leaves the list but the records stay.

Does renaming a goal keep its history?

Yes. Stamps and finished boards stay when you edit a goal.
