Three tests for a reward
- It doesn’t pull against the goal — shopping for a savings goal or a late-night snack for a diet goal erases the board’s progress.
- It fits the effort — an expensive reward for ten days of effort becomes a burden by the next board.
- You look forward to it — small pleasures you usually put off work best.
Reward ideas by goal
| Goal | Good reward | Reward to avoid |
|---|---|---|
| Exercise | New running socks, a drink at your favorite café | "I earned it" eating |
| Saving money | A free exhibition, a movie night | The shopping you held off on |
| Reading | The next book you want | (mostly fine) |
| Early bedtime | A weekend brunch plan | A late-night binge-watch |
| Kids’ habits | A park trip together, a treat they choose | Much more game time |
Write it down first
Decide the reward when you start a board. Decide it after and it grows or shrinks with your mood. A written reward also reminds you why you’re doing it on the days the board is slow.
Doing it in the app

Fill in the reward
In My Praise Stamp Board, write the reward (up to 30 characters) in the Reward (optional) field when creating a goal, e.g. "Order pizza" or "Watch a movie".
It appears when you finish
Fill all 10 boxes and the celebration shows "Your reward: …", then a new board starts. Edit the goal to change the reward for the next board.
FAQ
Do I need a reward at all?
It’s optional. For many people the filling boxes are reward enough.
The completion screen feels plain.
Unlock "Completion confetti" in the extras for confetti when a board fills. It takes one short ad.
