What ends up in a parking photo
| Captured | Risk if shared |
|---|---|
| Other cars’ plates | Spreads information that identifies someone else’s car |
| Building or space numbers | Hints at where you live |
| Location data (EXIF) | Coordinates embedded in the file, depending on camera settings |
| Time parked | Repeated posts reveal routines |
Keeping it for yourself
- If only you see it, a stray plate matters little. But if your camera roll syncs to the cloud, “only you” covers more devices than you might think.
- Where possible, aim at the pillar code rather than the cars. It is also more useful for finding your spot.
Before you share
- Blur or crop other people’s plates before posting to a group chat or social media.
- For photos of your home garage, ask whether the building and space numbers need to be visible.
- Send a screenshot or a copy with location data removed rather than the original file.
- Posting a badly parked car to shame its owner can backfire. Use official reporting channels instead.
How the app stores photos

Camera photos stay inside the app
Photos taken with Take photo in Parking Spot Memo are saved in the app’s own folder and do not appear in your camera roll. Pick from gallery leaves the original in your gallery and stores a copy in the app.
Nothing uploaded; delete removes the photo
Records and photos are never sent to a server. Deleting a record also deletes its photo, and Delete all data in Settings clears everything. The app has no share feature.
The photos in the screenshots are placeholder images used to show the app’s screens.
FAQ
How do I send my parking spot to family?
The app cannot share. Take a screenshot of the record, check that no plates or building numbers show, and send that.
What happens to photos if I uninstall?
Records and photos in the app’s folder are removed with the app. Originals you picked from the gallery stay in the gallery.
