“What time is it there?”
3 ways to check

For one city, once, a search is enough. It gets harder when you need several cities, every day, and want to know whether the other person is at work right now.

Three methods

Fastest for a single answer. But you retype it every time, three cities means three searches, and it needs a connection.

Phone clock app

Both Android and iPhone clock apps have a world clock list that shows each city’s time and offset. That covers “what time is it”. Whether that time is before work, lunch or the middle of the night is still up to you to work out.

World clock app

These are real screens from the Android app "World Time Board". The screenshots were taken with Seoul as the home city.

Every city on one screen

Add cities on the Cities tab and the Board tab lists each one with its current time, offset and date. A 24-cell bar under each city colours work hours (green), early/late (orange) and night (navy), so you can tell at a glance whether someone is at work.

Picking cities

Search 102 built-in cities by city or country. Five slots are free; watching an ad adds three more. For places not on the list, watch one ad to open the Zone pack and search every IANA time zone ID.

Everything is calculated on the device, with no server or sign-in, so it works in flight mode.

FAQ

When is the phone clock enough?

If you only glance at one or two cities now and then. A world clock app earns its place once you schedule meetings across several countries.
